As you can see, there is Fenway all curled up with his head on Ian’s pillow. He had managed to wiggle himself under the blanket but Ian moved it to take this picture. Now, I don’t mind him sleeping at the foot of the bed, where dogs belong, but this is getting to be a bit much. I’m not a huge fan of rolling over in the middle of the night and getting a face full of dog hair. Besides, his stomach doesn’t always agree with him and then he smells…real bad.
* I am linking up this post to the Homestead Barn Hop cause every homestead needs a mascot and ours is Fenway.
Fenway is one spoiled dog. We don’t spoil him on purpose, in fact we try our best not to. He just seems to think that he is entitled to everything that humans are and that includes riding in the passenger seat of the jeeps, sitting on the couch or recliner, and now sleeping under a blanket with his head on a pillow.
Just this weekend, we had to break out the “cone of shame” again. He loves to run through the woods behind our house but he never pays attention to things like briars. He ended up with a small cut on the bottom of one of his front paws. He is a big licker so in order to keep it dry, he got coned. I hate to admit it but, he is so funny in the cone. He has no depth perception and is constantly running into things. We took him outside yesterday and he was trying to use it as a shovel to scoop up sticks to chew on.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Fenway. He provides endless hours of entertainment and he is always available to keep my feet warm…as long as he isn’t busy keeping my pillow warm.
