It was one of those weekends where the stars align, the baby naps, and three out of four chickens lay their eggs inside the coop. You know the kind… they are rare and sweet but always seem to pop up just when you need them.

It started on Friday with a game of cards (Phase 10, but we only made it 4 phases in before getting too tired). Little things like a chance to unwind at the end of a long week can make all the difference.
A warm and sunny Saturday meant open windows and doors to let the house breathe. The dog worked on his tan while we worked in the garden. The tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and cucumbers are all growing happily.

A special delivery of crazy and beautiful zinnias meant the front of the house got a much needed makeover. We’ll see how long they last before the chickens decide they look good enough to eat.
Father’s Day breakfasts and surprises, including a “Daddy’s Workshop” sign for the front of the shed rounded out the weekend. Along with a little baking, a little blogging, and prepping for the week ahead.

Sometimes a good weekend is all you need to get feeling right. A chance to get caught up on chores and caught up with family.
